(un)bias is a mutant project lying at the crossroads of an art installation, a sensitizing campaign and a scientific experiment.
A sensitizing campaign taking the form of an inflatable installation meant to host a series of implicit association tests, which will measure people’s unconscious biases around merit and gender representations.

A scientific research
Taking the form of an online test platform, meant to host an Implicit Association Test, which will measure people’s levels of bias towards representation of gender, through the rigorous IAT method (Harvard University).

A sensitizing Campaign
The installation is meant to be shown is a series of events organized by SISTA as an immersive and interactive sensitizing campaign, meant to raise awareness on the subject of gender and race bias.

An inflatable artwork
An inflatable installation designed by a Yena Young (Plastique Fantastique) meant to physically host the test taking during the events. Each year Bolk is commissioned by SISTA to invite an artist to design a new shape for the bubble.
